Credibility and visibility are important to all of us whether we are representing an organization or ourselves. Business executives and consultants are expected to be experts who show up ready to impact others with their communication. Learning how to manage visibility is a vital skill for all of us. Whether you are being called on by journalists to provide your organization's views on newsworthy policy issues or attempting to get positive visibility for your company, you are more frequently serving as critical business partners with your organization's external communications, and shareholder relations teams.

This interactive program features a distinguished panel of journalists who will discuss how to work strategically with the media. The program will be moderated by media and public relations expert Gregg Feistman, Principal of Strategic Communications Consulting. Topics will include:

  • What do you do when a reporter contacts you?
  • What is a reporter looking for when he/she calls and asks you to comment on a particular event or development?
  • How do you obtain favorable publicity about your HR team or human resources initiatives?
  • What strategies should you employ when there’s potentially damaging news about your organization?
