What is PHRPS?
The Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Society is the premier organization for exchanging ideas and knowledge among the Greater Philadelphia Region's human resource leaders.
Mission
We create a network of professionals working as business partners in strategic human resource practices. We support our field on three levels: 1) professional enhancement for members, 2) increased effectiveness for the organizations that our members support, and 3) advancement of our profession.
History & Organization
Founded in 1979 as an affiliate of the Human Resource Planning Society, we first held monthly roundtable discussion meetings. Over the years we grew in scope, size, sophistication, and reputation. Today we are guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, and have several standing committees. We rely heavily on the active involvement and creativity of our members who continuously advance our association.
Value to Members
We help our members help their organizations and enhance their careers by:
- Being a sophisticated resource for developing members' knowledge and experiences through education, interaction and shared experiences.
- Exploring new approaches and technologies.
- Creating opportunities for professional fellowship.
